City Vision Cleans Up in Avondale-RoskillThe Hon Phil Goff, MP set City Vision's Avondale Roskill local government campaign off to a sparkling start by joining candidates in a litter cleanup at Walmsley Park in Wesley last weekend.Michael Wood, Campaign Manager for City Vision in Mt Roskill, says "Our candidates decided that we should do something to serve the local community for our campaign launch. Local residents expect their elected representatives to get stuck in and we thought that a good start would be to tackle the litter in some of our parks and streets. Phil Goff was more than happy to help." After the launch in Walmsley Park, the Roskill candidates took their black bin bags to clean up parks around Mt Roskill, whilst the Avondale candidates hit the main street of Avondale to clean up litter there. "We received a great response from the local community and look forward to campaigning hard in Avondale-Roskill over the next few months", says Michael.
