The Greens and City Vision, Working Together

City Vision and the Greens have a lot in common. Both are committed to social justice, environmental issues and, most of all, the importance of changing the short-sighted outlook displayed by the current right-wing council.

We both know how the council has cut spending on essential services to "save costs" while spending $100 000 on a horse-and-carriage parade for the mayor to open a railway station that he bitterly opposed! And we've both noticed the council's blinkered focus on the South-Eastern Motorway to the exclusion of more sustainable solutions.

If voters split their votes between the progressive candidates, the current mayor and council will be assured of re-election. A focussed, co-operative approach is needed between progressive candidates to ensure our own election. To this end, the Greens are delighted to be working closely with City Vision in these elections to achieve that. We look forward to a positive long-term relationship.
