It strikes me we're in an area that needs to sit up and take notice of what's going on around us - McDonalds insisting there are 40,000 people in the area being deprived of their food so they plan a 24/7 drive through joint that will create traffic mayhem in an already black spotted traffic area.

The Warehouse thinking that it's OK to sneak in an application which will result in another heap of traffic flowing into Rocklands Ave - a residential street and then of course there's the Dominion Road transport problems.

I can't help but think now's a really important time to have involvement and get our voices heard. I've been in this suburb a long time. It's changed so much during that time and lately I feel things Iike those I mention above are riding over the top of all of us. John Banks and his 'commissioner hearings' will be the ruin of any solid community progress.
