Are you enrolled to vote?

Check by free calling 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56) or go directly to the Electoral Enrolment Centre's website. Alternatively you can pick up an enrolment form called "Enrolling to vote: Application" from your nearest New Zealand PostShop which you can fill in and leave at the counter or send back freepost. If you have a mobile phone you could send your name and address to Freetext 3676, and a form will be posted out to you.

If you didn't enroll by Friday 20 August 2010 you will not receive your voting documents in the post and will have to make a special vote. The documents can be posted directly to you (phone (09) 973 5212 or 0800 922 822), or you can pick them up from the Electoral Office, Level 8, 92 Albert Street, Auckland.

As with ordinary voting documents, they must be returned to the electoral officer by noon on 9 October 2010, or to any of the existing council offices.  When posting your voting documents back, post them by 5pm, Wednesday, 6 October to ensure they arrive before voting closes.
