Elected to the Auckland District Health Board 3 years ago, I have become deeply involved in the Disability and Older Peoples Health Sector.

I am a Registered Nurse and worked as a nurse and in various roles in the Health Sector over the last 25 years. Currently I am working as a Lecturer for Undergraduate nursing students at the University of Auckland. I maintain my clinical practice working at Auckland Hospital on a casual basis.

It is crucial to maintain a Public Health Service with a high standard of delivery for the people of Auckland and clearly the Board has an important role to play. It is essential that nurses are on the Board to provide better representation and advocate for patients.  I am a strong campaigner for nurses and for all members of our community.  Please vote 1,2,3,4,for me and the CITY VISION HEALTH team.

I have been part of this community for thirty years – as a student, as a parent and throughout my professional years.   Now I look forward to giving back.  As a Sandringham resident I enjoy my local village, and walk often on Owairaka- Mt Albert.  My focus is on the concerns of the different ethnic populations in our area, and better care for our volcanic cones, parks, and lovely older buildings. Water must stay in public ownership, and amenities like transport, museums and libraries must be supported and strengthened.

I am a determined advocate for the causes I believe in and have successfully implemented major system changes as an information manager over the years. I work well collaboratively, and I believe strongly in community and locality.

The new Auckland can work for community – reclaim the city for its people by voting for me and the whole CITY VISION team this election.

I have been proud to serve you as the Eden-Albert Ward councillor for the last six years.  Born in Scotland, I live in Mt Albert with my Dutch partner Kees, our three teenage children and our two little dogs.   I have a PhD and a professional interest in police, crime and justice.

I am an experienced councillor and have stood up for the issues important to people living in the area - like ensuring the communities affected by the new motorway get a fair deal; fighting to save Monte Cecilia School and getting funding to protect our precious volcanic cones.

If you elect me to the new Auckland Council, I will continue to devote myself to representing you full-time.  I will listen to your views and ensure a voice for the people of Albert-Eden-Roskill at the council table.

Please vote for me and CITY VISION and ROSKILL COMMUNITY VOICE candidates.

I have lived in central Auckland for the past eight years and am a fourth generation Aucklander.  Since I was 20 I have been a director of our family-run food manufacturing company. We market and distribute our brand nationwide.

I stand for economic growth that will support and nourish a safe and healthy environment for Auckland city residents.  I will actively support improved and sustainable public transport, safe cycling and pedestrian facilities.

50% of Auckland central is aged under 30.  I think it’s vital that young people are represented. I will work closely with schools, universities and youth groups to promote civic awareness. I want to encourage young people to take interest and participate more in community life.

I will use my energy, enthusiasm, and practical business skills to bring democratic and realistic ideas to the board and community.  For Your Community Voice vote me and the CITY VISION team.

A local lawyer and businessman, I am a proud 5th generation Aucklander, married 25 years with 4 children. I have lived or run businesses in the ward 30 years, and founded the longest established Ponsonby commercial law firm.

I have senior governance experience as director of NZ Post (Kiwibank), Vector and MetService and was twice elected to Auckland Energy Consumer Trust. I have served 15 years on local school boards, including Auckland Girls’ and Mt Albert Grammar and am trustee, Mt Albert Aquatic Centre.

“Our inner city suburbs from Parnell to Herne Bay are special places to live in and work and their heritage character, café culture, and commercial centres must be supported.

My business and elected experience will help deliver from the SuperCity for our families at fair rates the best community-owned local parks, facilities and council services.”

I am a corporate lawyer currently using my skills for social good and community work. I love living in central Auckland.

My passion is community initiatives that create neighbourhoods that we want to live in - safe, vibrant, connected and sustainable. I am a Trustee of Kelmarna Organic City Farm, project manager for Cycle Action Auckland, on the Steering Committee of Grey Lynn 2030, organiser of Frocks on Bikes and climate action events.

If elected to the Waitemata Local Board, I will be full time on the job, promoting projects that make our inner city suburbs, the CBD and waterfront more liveable, accessible and productive.  I have the skills and desire to get things done.

It is essential to elect people who can work together, respond to the needs of the community and take a strong leadership role.

For your Community Voice vote for me and the CITY VISION team.

Parnell resident for 13 years, fifth generation Aucklander, currently studying and working at the University of Auckland and a Community Board Chair.

I am interested in the ongoing creative and dynamic development of Auckland and all residents. Waitemata ward is an exciting part of Auckland region, a cultural, creative, intellectual and commercial heart, located within superb natural environments.

I hope to continue six years of Community Board work, ensuring that residents have access to opportunities to participate in and contribute to the life of their community. I will support others in their efforts to create a unique quality of life where everyone has access to our beautiful coastline, our maunga, and stimulating public art. The life of our ward is a shared one. Together we create communities that work for all. I would be honoured to work with you. For Your Community Voice vote me and the CITY VISION team.

Many of you will know me as an energetic watchdog of the Council, closely monitoring plans and policies for their impact on local communities.  My interest in community led to me being an elected Community Board member since 1992 and City Councillor since 2007.  The new Supercity will need experienced people like me working for our neighbourhoods so we do not get ‘swallowed up’.

As a tireless community activist all my adult life, I have worked with many local neighbourhood and environmental groups, such as the Point Chevalier Community Committee, Friends of Oakley Creek and Mount Albert Residents Association.  I am also a leading advocate for pedestrians and an energetic campaigner to replace motorway madness with a decent public transport system.

As a self-employed researcher I have both the time and expertise to serve you.  Please vote for me and the CITY VISION team to work for our communities.

As a local mother of two, and with a background in the education sector, I am a passionate advocate for women's and children's issues, particularly around quality early childhood education in our community.  I have lived in the Puketapapa area for seven years now and look forward to a great future raising my children here, as my grandmother raised hers.

I believe in strong local democracy that gives a voice to local people.  We should be able to have a say on local issues, like the destructive spread of liquor outlets and pokies in our area.  We need a strong and active Board to ensure the opinions of Roskill residents are heard across our new City.

Let’s elect a Board of people committed to building a positive future for our families. Vote for our community: vote the whole ROSKILL COMMUNITY VOICE team for Puketapapa Board and CITY VISION for Council.

The Portage Licensing Trust, through the Trusts Charitable Foundation, returns funds generated in our area back to us by way of grants to schools and community groups. I am asking for your vote to serve on the Trust as an effective member managing, and distributing these funds to our communities.

Currently I am a fourth term elected member of the Avondale Community Board.  Volunteers in our communities build strong and connected communities.  I am committed to prudent financial management and a socially responsible approach to ensuring our communities thrive with assistance from the Trust.

My background is in libraries and I work as an administrator. I love living in this area and have lived here for forty years.  Vote for me and all three of the CITY VISION team and we will deliver the Portage Licensing Trust proceeds back to our communities.

“I’m a proud Aucklander – I grew up here. I don’t share Rodney Hide’s vision of a city serving big business and property developers. Auckland deserves better! We must protect the unique character of our neighbourhoods. No ‘anything goes’ development in areas like Greenlane, Balmoral, Mt Eden Village. We should cherish our parks and volcanic cones, starting with Maungawhau, and support our vibrant and diverse communities—like Mt Eden’s active arts scene, for example. We must keep public assets in our hands, give our communities a real say, and strengthen public transport.”

Peter is married, lives in Balmoral/Mt Eden. As a senior lecturer in management and former policy analyst in energy markets, ministerial private secretary, and employment negotiator he brings the skills to make our local board an effective conduit for community voices, and an efficient local services provider.

Please vote for Peter and for all of the City Vision team.

Chairman Auckland Regional Council, 2004-2010.  Former ship’s officer and passionate conservationist.  Lived and worked in the ward most of his life.

Key achievements: capped ARC rates increases; bought back 100% public ownership of Ports of Auckland; acquired new coastal regional parks, including future headland park at Wynyard Point; opened Queens Wharf; and protected natural and built heritage.

Mike has fought to improve public transport and persuaded Government to electrify rail.  Under Mike’s leadership rail patronage increased from 2.5 million to nearly 9 million trips per year. Advocates CBD loop and rail to airport.  Mike will fight to ensure Super City controls costs and rates and is more accountable to ratepayers. Mike is supporting City Vision candidates for Waitemata Board.

“I am standing on my record of leadership and results – and keeping assets publicly owned.  I’ll work for a Supercity that serves you and enhances Auckland’s quality of life.”

I am a current member of the Eden Albert Community Board.  Experience is needed to ensure the Supercity delivers to Eden/Epsom.

Along with my wife Dr Brigid Carroll, I am bringing up boys aged 7, 10 and 12 in Mt Eden.  I chair the Board of Trustees at Balmoral School.  I work as a Family and Employment lawyer.

Busy roads create challenges for our local communities.  We need sustainable public transport and to promote cycling and walking.  I oppose 4-lane highways and large commercial developments spoiling our suburbs.

I will speak for local people and our community and will not let a huge Council bureaucracy control our neighbourhoods which are unique and precious.  Eden/Epsom is a great place to live.  I will fight to keep it that way.

Please vote for me and all of the CITY VISION team.

I have worked all my adult life in front line health services as a Chief Executive, General Manager of Age Care and Disability Services, Health Social Worker and School Dental Nurse.

My work with health-related charities includes serving on the Board of Age Concern, the Hope Foundation and the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Committee (ALAC).  As a member of the Regional Health and Disability Ethics Committee I have been able to put my skills to good use in the interests of best practice in research.

I am a graduate of Auckland University and a great believer in the life-long learning experience.

If Aucklanders – young or old – get sick or have a disability, they should be able to receive effective treatment and support when and where they need it.  I will work for improved services for all.  Vote 1, 2, 3, 4 for me and the CITY VISION HEALTH team.

The Albert-Eden Local Board area is my ‘neighbourhood”.  I am a nurse with two young children.  I have lived in Waterview for 17 years.  I am people-focused and actively contribute to build stronger communities and belong to many community, sports and children’s groups. Currently I am Chair of the Waterview School Board of Trustees; Spokesperson for Tunnel or Nothing; Treasurer of the North Western Community Association and coordinator for Auckland city’s only walking school and kindy bus.

I have been working hard for Owairaka, Mt Albert, Waterview and Pt Chev to get the best outcomes around SH20.  I‘m a hard working team player, with the right mix of personal and work skills to make a strong contribution to our Board and represent our communities.

A vote for the CITY VISION team will ensure that the voice of the community continues to be heard at the Council table.

I have lived in the Portage Licensing Trust area for over 50 years and served on the Trust since 1992. I am involved in a wide range of activities in the community including Blockhouse Bay Community Centre Committee, Blockhouse Bay Mainstreet and Community Patrol. My professional background is in the cultural sector – museums, libraries and heritage organisations.

The Portage Trust has delivered huge benefit to our area by operating in a socially responsible manner. Our shopping centres do not have any dairies or fruit shops selling alcohol. We provide local outlets, restaurants and bars. All the Portage Trust profits go back into our community.

I am passionate about providing good governance to the Trust and work hard to see that our community is well supported through the Trust’s business that we, the community, own.  Vote for me and all three of the CITY VISION team for the Licensing Trust.

I am a long term Roskill South resident, a married father of two, and a professional negotiator. An active member of our community I serve as: President of Lynfield/Roskill-South Plunket, Roskill Union Health Board member, Manukau foreshore pest control volunteer, Residents Association Chairperson, Church Vestry member, and am a former Council Member of MIT.

Speaking up for Mt Roskill is important to me and I have actively campaigned against the wasteful demolition of Monte Cecilia School; in favour of greater community control of new liquor outlets; and for a fairer rates system. I strongly support public ownership of our community assets.

We need a Board with new blood and energy.  As a Board member I commit to listening to local residents and being a strong voice for the Mt Roskill community. Vote for our community: vote the whole ROSKILL COMMUNITY VOICE team for Puketapapa Board and CITY VISION for Council.
