The Local Waitemata Board has been surprised with the number of nominations for significant trees to be added to the District Plan. Local Waitemata Board member Tricia Reade reported that just on 300 nominations were lodged with the Waitemata Local Board on or before 31 March 2011 that seeks protection of around 500 trees.
